shipping container shop designed and worked on my Michigan Imagery

In the world of innovative design and custom metal fabrication, there’s always a unique challenge. Today marks the opening day for Bunker Busters and we want to revisit when we turned a 20 ft shipping container into a charming ice cream shop.

Designing the Dream:

The project began with a vision – to create an unconventional ice cream shop that not only stood out but also reflected the owner’s personality and brand. The 20 ft shipping container provided a blank canvas, inspiring us to think outside the box, quite literally. First, we carefully considered the layout, ensuring that it would be both functional for the ice cream shop staff and inviting for customers. The challenge was to maximize the use of limited space while maintaining an open and airy atmosphere.

Custom Metal Fabrication Magic:

The transformation took shape quickly during the custom metal fabrication phase. With precision and expertise, we cut out large windows and doors first and added new structure to the container. The custom metal awning was the next step strategically positioned above the windows and entrance to add a stylish flair while providing shelter from the elements. These and other intricate designs not only added a touch of charm but also served as functional elements, allowing air circulation while maintaining security.

Transportation and On-Site Completion:

Once the container was meticulously crafted in our fabrication workshop, the next challenge was transportation. Carefully loaded onto a specialized transport vehicle, our creation made its way to Pro Stop Fireworks. Once there it was lifted into place with a crane and on site completion began.

On-site completion was the final step in bringing this dream to life. Skilled craftsmen worked diligently to ensure that every detail aligned with the original vision. The exterior received a finishing touch with the installation of a channel letter sign proudly displaying the ice cream shop’s name.

Final Thoughts:

This project  was an incredible challenge that pushes our design innovation and custom metal fabrication. From the initial concept to the final result, the transformation of a 20 ft shipping container into a delightful ice cream shop showcases the power of creativity and craftsmanship. As the sweet aroma of freshly made treats wafts from the open windows, it’s clear that this unique endeavor has left a lasting impression, turning a simple shipping container into a one-of-a-kind destination for indulgence.
